A DeepSeek Harness web plugin that replaces the whale mark in the sidebar and on the blank-conversation hero with the a5 mark from afive.dk. The mark renders in the surrounding text color, so it follows the light and dark themes. The sidebar name, browser title, and model requests are unchanged.

Install

pnpm dsh plugin --profile web add file:~/apps/dsh-brand-a5

Restart dsh afterwards. Remove the plugin to bring the whale back.

How it works

The plugin registers one SVG component into the sidebar.brand.mark and conversation.hero.brand.mark slots at priority -1, so it shadows the official mark wherever both register. The browser half is src/client/index.ts; the host half is empty.

Known limitations: the Chat running indicator and the full BrandWordmark draw the whale directly rather than through a slot, so they keep it. The hero's hover sway applies to the a5 mark, but the whale's swim morph does not.
