The opt-in research bundle: composes the research service, risk router, default profiles, subagent runtime, and research tools in one cordis.patch.yml. It is NOT part of the default base bundle — a deployment opts in by loading this bundle.
Composition
- insert:
- id: research-service
name: '@deepseek-ai/dsh-research'
- id: research-router-risk
name: '@deepseek-ai/dsh-research-router-risk'
- id: research-profiles-default
name: '@deepseek-ai/dsh-research-profiles-default'
- id: research-runtime-subagent
name: '@deepseek-ai/dsh-research-runtime-subagent'
- id: research-tools
name: '@deepseek-ai/dsh-tool-research'
Rows are inserted in dependency order (service first, then providers, then the consumer tools).
Model Experience
Composed model surface
What the model sees
The bundle registers nothing itself: composing it mounts the research service, the risk router, the default profiles, the subagent runtime, and the research tools in dependency order. That composition is what makes the lead agent's five research tools appear on ctx.tools and routes delegated children onto the selected profile's model — the bundle is the opt-in switch that turns the whole model-facing research surface on.
Token effect
The bundle itself adds no tokens; every token effect comes from the composed packages' tools, routing, and child delegations.
KV Cache effect
The bundle contributes no request prefix; each composed package keeps its own stable or append-only behavior.
Known Limitations and Deferred Work
- Not part of the default base bundle — a deployment must opt in by loading this bundle; nothing research-related runs otherwise.
