Bottom terminal panel for the dsh web GUI: a frame-wide toggle immediately left of the workbench switch, plus a bottom-up shell strip spanning all three columns. The panel is a live line-based shell over terminal-web's wire: it opens a session when the strip becomes visible, polls bounded output while open, keeps the shell's own prompt and command echo as the only line source, and closes the shell on plugin unload.

The toggle registers into the layout's frame-wide shell.overlay seat at order 90 (the workbench toggle follows at 100), and the strip occupies the layout's shell.bottom seat declared by ui-layout. The toggle stays visible while the strip is open and collapses it on a second click. The strip stays mounted at zero height when closed — visibility, not store state, drives the session lifecycle.

Extension point

The bottom strip is a single slot; another package can take shell.bottom by registering its own occupant, and any plugin can flip the strip through ctx.layout.toggleBottom() / closeBottom().

Known Limitations and Deferred Work

• Line-based shell — the bridge pipes stdio without a PTY, so full-screen interactive programs may misbehave.
• Polled output — output latency is one poll interval; a push stream is deferred.
• Panel resizing — the bottom strip is draggable through the layout store's bottom clamp (120–800px); there is no PTY resize protocol.
